These are excellent recordings by top guitarists today such as Adam Holzman, Marc Teicholz, and others. Nocturne in E-flat Major, Opus 9, No. 2 4. However, the next year, 1837, he received a letter from the Wodzinski family that dashed his hopes of marrying Maria. It is expressive and personal, but still a pure art. The difficulty level of most Carcassi pieces, including the concert works, is usually Medium difficulty, which makes this music appealing to accomplished amateur players.

It is significant that, even at this time, her mother's main concern about the union was not Maria's youth, but Chopin's health.
